Transition To Work Or Education

SCDS can support you to transition into open employment, supported employment or to study at University, TAFE or Community Colleges.


The South Coast and Eurobodalla has first class Colleges, University of Wollongong and TAFE which can support you.


SCDS is here to help you with:


Course selection and enrolment
Course entry tests and exam modifications
Tutorial and group study centres

Learning support – communications, note takers and interpreters are accessible on all TAFE and UOW campuses.

Our local community connections and partnerships will ensure you are well supported on your chosen pathway.


Whether you are planning to leave school, or you have already left? An education pathway may be just what you are looking for as you begin the next chapter of your life.


University and TAFE courses may not be what you are looking for and Eurobodalla Adult Ed

Offers a range of exciting courses, including:


Career qualifications
Computer 1 for beginners
Photography and digital camera workshops
Enhancing communication through iPads to assist people with communication difficulties, to communicate messages, giving and sharing information
Hospitality
Lifestyle courses such as arts and crafts, food and garden, health and wellness or music and culture, responsible gambling & First Aid and safety courses.

SCDS Values Education and personal development through learning


Our staff at South Coast Disability Services have established partnerships with local learning services and we value education and learning as an ongoing part of all our lives.


SCDS have completed formal training in a range of fields, our current team hold the following portfolio of training:


Certificate IV and Diploma level in Disability, WHS and Frontline Management.

University level education in Nursing, Social Science, Early intervention and Education.

Statement of attainment in a range of subjects including Indigenous Studies, Community Welfare.
